MAJOR ACCIDENT

This is for those not reached by NY newpapers or TV. Sunday at 4:00 AM a car going west on Tremont Ave. at high speed hit a divider at Commonwealth Ave. -- where Tremont bends to go over the New Haven tracks and down to West Farms -- and then flipped over, spilling out two men who were killed and killing a man and woman inside. All were Hispanics.

The intersection is well knwn to all of us who used to take the White Plains line at Morris Park Ave. to get to work. Adams Street was the usual route, running from Tremont to Morris Park. I don't remember having to dash across Tremont to get to it, but I suppose I did. Not as much traffic in those days, though.
